Transitional Housing + Radical Hospitality

Proximity is powerful.

A different approach to transitional housing: Hospitality Houses are beautiful timber frame tiny homes placed in a backyard and within a community of friends.

Beautiful and sustainable.

There are many benefits to timber frame construction. It is also beautiful to be surrounded by exposed beams and detailed craftmanship. For the single mom facing obstacles, the home provides an ever-present and hopeful frame for the new beginning she’s moving into.

In your backyard.

For many who need transitional housing, the rewards of proximity to us, our home, and community far outweigh the risks. They catch far more than could ever be taught over meals, laundry, and spontaneous conversations on the driveway.

Building community and lifelong friendships.

For months, volunteers have been helping build the timber frame tiny home in a warehouse section by section. Once it’s ready to be raised, we throw a party with everyone who’s been involved throughout the journey. It’s something to see and something the mom who’s moving in will never forget.
